July 12th – Saturday  -- SGMFC Monthly Meeting
Will be held at Vince’s Italian Restaurant, 2365 N. Hicks Rd in Palatine. They have an outdoor seating area and a large parking lot that would work well for this summer meeting.  We will begin with a Show & Sine at 3:30 PM, social hour beginning at 5:00pm with our meeting to follow. July 19th – Saturday – VA hospital Show 
Due to the good response we have had in the past and in Memory of Larry Burges we will again attend the North Chicago VA Hospital Show in Lake Bluff IL. For those members that would like to meet for breakfast, we will meet at the Full Moon Restaurant on Rt 41, 1300 Skokie Highway (41) Lake Bluff, IL 60044 about 9:30. If you are coming up 294, you would take the Buckley exit and head EAST on Buckley to Rt 41. You would then turn right onto Rt 41 and the restaurant is just down the road on the left. There is a left turn lane to cross Rt 41 into the Full Moon Restaurant parking lot.
Those members that don't want to meet for breakfast you can meet at the restaurant between 10:30 and 11:00. We will then depart the restaurant and proceed to the VA Hospital parking lot which is just a few minute drive. Renate & Denise are coordinating this event. July 27th – Sunday – The Garlands of Barrington Show N Shine
A summer Show & Shine will be presented for the residents of The Garlands of Barrington. We will meet at a location TBD and cruise to the location. The Garlands is located at 1000 Garlands Ln, Barrington IL, just north of Lake Cook Rd. off Northwest Highway. We will make a presentation on "The 50 Years of Mustang History" in the Performing Arts Center at 1:00PM with the car show taking place in the Events Parking Lot directly after. August 2nd – Saturday – SGMFC Monthly Meeting – Note the date change
The meeting will be held at Saluto’s Restaurant, 7680 Grand Ave in Gurney IL. This will be our annual “Cruise to the Border”, we will meet at a location to be determined and cruise to Saluto’s as a group. The event will include a Show & Shine beginning at 3:30 PM, a social hour at 5:00 PM and the general meeting to follow. George Bucur will coordinate this event again this year. August 5th – Tuesday – National Night Out
This National events local event will be held at North School Park at Eastman & Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. We will have reserved parking spaces for the members who signed up at a meeting signup sheet. Parking is limited so sign up early. There will food and entertainment for your enjoyment. August 9th – Saturday – SGFMC Annual Fund Raiser with Double K
This year because of changes with Double K’s show schedule we have a been invited by Friendly Ford to come to their annual customer appreciation day free car show this year AT FRIENDLY FORD 333 EAST IRVING PARK ROAD IN ROSELLE. They have been kind enough to invite our club to participate and raise money for our charity. Club members should arrive to help set up at 7:30am. Show registration begins at 9:00am and ends at noon. Awards will be done at 3:30pm. We will again sell raffle tickets for the smaller items gathered by members and 50/50. We will also hold our silent auction for larger items.  This is a FREE SHOW TO THE PARTICIPANTS and food and beverages will be on sight. We have a great opportunity with this show. The normal turn out 175 cars so we will need all the help we can get to set up, sell tickets and run the silent auction and then at the end of the show clean up. We will have on going updates.
